WHO WE ARE

Rocks and Wheels (RAW), managed by Dalbeattie Community Initiative (DCI) is a community project which aims to create an activity centre where it will bring Dalbeattie’s former Primary School back to life. The list of activities on offer is extensive. However, the core activities will be based around the district’s cycling and bouldering opportunities.

As a gateway to Dalbeattie’s world renowned 7stanes mountain biking trail, it is proposed to provide sleeping accommodation and a range of exciting indoor and outdoor activity spaces which will strengthen the town’s appeal to visitors and provide a valuable community asset. From public consultations the 1st phase was shaped which ended on 31st January, 2019. The second phase will be related to the Business Plan, March 2022.
